“SD The God”, commonly known as “SD”, is an independent artist based in New York City. Born in London, UK, he hails from the DMV (Washington, DC area). He draws his inspiration and desire to create cross-dimensional music from genres including, but not limited to, Hip-Hop/R&B, Afrobeats, Reggaeton, and Dancehall. He is deeply influenced by many artists notably DaVido, Burna Boy, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Lucky Daye.

SD has an upbringing quite unlike many others. Born in London as a result of the displacement of his family during the Sierra Leonean Civil War, he grew up both in the United Kingdom and United States. This cultural mix has not only influenced him, but has also helped create his unique sound. He began exploring music at the early age of ten, performing in musicals and elementary choirs. This early start drove his passion for music, leading him to perform on some of the world’s biggest stages, including The Kennedy Center Honors and TNT’s Christmas in Washington. In all that he does, he remains humble, paying homage to his background and the cultures he derives his music from.
